Poznámky

Druh je pojmenován po Jamesi Maclainovi, vedoucím kurátorovi ryb v Přírodovědeckém muzeu ve Velké Británii, za jeho obětavou péči o sbírky a zejména za jeho usilovnou práci při začleňování sbírek Institute of Oceanographic Sciences/National Oceanography Centre do Přírodovědeckého muzea ve Velké Británii.
