Výskyt
Jihovýchodní Asie — povodí Mekongu a Xe Bangfai. Obývá řeky a potoky, kde byl zaznamenán mezi balvany a kameny. Během období záplav proniká do zaplavovaných lesů a po poklesu hladiny se vrací do říčního systému.

Menam Mun River at Tha Chang, east of Korat, eastern Thailand.
