Výskyt
Jižní Asie — endemit jižní části Západního Ghátu (Western Ghats) v indickém státě Kerala. Dosud je znám pouze z horních částí povodí řeky Periyar, konkrétně z rychle tekoucích, kamenitých horských toků uvnitř Periyar Tiger Reserve, v nadmořských výškách nad 900 m.
