Výskyt
Východní Afrika – dolní tok řeky Lufubu, severní Zambie. Obývá hlubší tůně s mírným proudem i mělké peřeje. Vyskytuje se mezi kameny a na písčitém až bahnitém dně.

Lower Lufubu at Chomba village, about 30 km above confluence with LakeTanganyika, Nsumbu National Park, Northern Province, Zambia, -8.6859°, 30.5644°, elevation 815 meters.

4,8 cm SL.
Potrava
Především bentičtí bezobratlí.
Etymologie
Druh pojmenován na počest Prof. Dr. Waltera Salzburgera (*1975), rakousko-švýcarského biologa z Univerzity v Basileji.
