Etymologie
Druh pojmenován podle domorodého kmene Ayoréode, který v minulosti obýval rozsáhlé oblasti severního Dry Chaco (Santa Cruz, Bolívie) a jehož několik skupin stále žije v blízkosti typové lokality tohoto druhu.
