Výskyt
Východní Indický oceán, západní Tichý oceán — Jáva a Malé Sundy (Indonésie) na východ až po Samou a Mikronéské ostrovy, na sever až po Ryukyu (Japonsko), na jih až po západní Austrálii a Queensland (Austrálie). Obývá především písčité a korálovo-sutinové dno na pobřežních a vnějších útesových lokalitách, zejména laguny a mořskou stranu útesů, přibližně do 34 m.

Ambon Island, Molucca Islands, Indonesia.
Velikost
17 cm TL.
Potrava
Především plži, mlži a drobní korýši, méně často mnohoštětinatci.
Etymologie
Druh pojmenován na počest T. W. Schrödera, kapitána pěchoty Královské nizozemské východoindické armády a člena Royal Naturalist Society.
