Výskyt

Jižní Amerika – povodí řeky Parnaíba (severovýchodní Brazílie). Obývá především menší vodní toky s nezarostlým písčitým dnem.

Velikost

7,59 cm SL.

Potrava

Především rostlinný materiál (zejména semena), larvy vodního hmyzu a detrit.
