Výskyt
Austrálie — povodí řek Cooper Creek a Hutchinson Creek, severovýchodní Queensland. Obývá malé, čisté, poněkud zastíněné deštné pralesní potoky s dnem tvořeným kombinací kamenů, písku, štěrku a dřevních zbytků.

Pohlavní rozdíly
Dospělí samci se od samic liší především zbarvením ploutví, u samců jsou ploutve výrazně žlutavé.
